J. M. Gbagyo, is a self-driven and self-motivated lawyer, arbitrator and prolific writer. He was called to the Nigerian bar to Practice law in 2013 and has since then been in active practice, has risen from the ranks in the profession serving as a Former Secretary, Nigerian Bar Association, Makurdi Branch between 2022-2024.

His certifications /qualification includes; Associate Membership, Certificate Chartered Institute of Arbitration (UK) , Certificate of Proficiency in Strategic Management (Certified Institute Strategic Membership certificate (CISM)). He holds a Barrister at Law, B.L) Second Class Lower Division, Council of Legal Education after obtaining Bachelor of Law Degree, L.L.B (Hons.) Second Class Lower Division from Benue State University.

Joseph M. Gbagyo is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Aza Gbagyo Foundation (AGF), a Foundation in honour of his late Mother, Aza Gbagyo. The organization provides educational scholarships and support for the less privileged and aims to improve the socio-economic welfare of Nigerian youths by inspiring and motivating them to embrace education. He is also the founder of THE TRANSMITTER MEDIA, one of the most leading voices of truth in media.
